Noele Gordon House opens to residents
The complex, named in honour of the East Ham born performer, opened in August 2024 offering London Affordable Rents to those on Newham Council’s housing waiting list.
Noele Gordon House, in the centre of East Ham, offers 75 high-quality later-living affordable homes for the borough’s over 55s’, alongside a health centre. The site comprises of 55 one-bedroom apartments and 20 two-bedroom apartments. More details, including a PDF brochure, can be found at the Newham Council website.

Newham Council statement:
“We’ve named a block of new council homes being built in East Ham after Noele Gordon – part of our original programme to build 1,000 council homes. Our new programme is to deliver a further 1,500 homes.”
The homes were completed in the summer of 2024 and opened to residents in August of the year.
